Preemptive Love Journal

The Journal was an award-winning quarterly publication whose purpose was to paint a more holistic picture of those impacted by conflict around the world.

Each issue told in-depth stories about the people and places Preemptive Love served. Volume 5 laid out a threefold vision to disrupt the cycle of violence, while volume 6 took readers behind the scenes of the migrant crisis impacting Central and South America. In 2021, the Society of Print Designers awarded the journal a gold medal in the “Best in Genre” category.

Editorial direction

Working with an in-house team of writers and the creative design agency Metaleap, I supervised production of the Preemptive Love Journal, planning each issue, writing and editing content, providing creative direction, and overseeing production.
